VINTAGE SOUTHWESTERN STERLING & MONTANA AGATE RECLAIMED PENDANT & ART DECO RING
I purchase a lot of Native American jewelry including some that needs repair. I hate to see beautifully created work go to waste or scrap because it is broken or missing a stone. I reclaim many of the broken and stoneless pieces by having them repaired or converting them into newly constructed pieces by replacing stones, broken shanks, etc. This pendant was originally a ring with a shank that had been crushed. Since it was a good size for a pendant, I had a silversmith remove the crushed shank and create a bale for it. I think it turned out well & I hopefully have given the piece new life. If you like all of your vintage pieces totally original, this piece is not for you. However, if, like me, you enjoy the beauty of the craftsmanship and aren't buying it for its original value, then this is a beautiful piece to own. I'm offering it with an Art Deco ring that I purchased because it went so well with the pendant. The set is priced accordingly.
