This auction is for five Ballantine WW II books in the series Ballantine's Illustrated History of the violent Century".  The first is titled “Himmler” Book No. 14 in the War Leader series.  A short treatise on one of histories most evil Nazis.  A key criminal in the operation of concentration camps - with the final section called “Operation Cyanide”.  The second is titled “The Conspirators 20

July 1944” book No. 1 in the Politics series. It traces a group of would be conspirators who dared to speak again and plan against the Nazis.  Unfortunately their attempts failed to end the war early.  The third is titled “The Nuremberg Rallies”  book No. 8 in the Campaign series. It explores the great and grand propaganda machine that helped Hitler rise to power.  The fourth and fifth titles are “Afrika Korps” and “The Raiders desert strike force”  books Nos.  1 & 2 in the campaign series. They provide insight into the desert campaign with one book focused on the battles of the desert raiders and their unique role in warfare.
